Dona de uma beleza estonteante aos 48 anos, Tori Amos fala sobre como se sente em alcançar os 50, a morte de Amy Winehouse, sua visão da indústria da música, a paixão pela lomografia, e seu novo álbum, "Night of Hunters", o qual é tanto sua primeira incursão na música clássica, como seu debut no lendário selo Deutsche Grammophon.
Tori: Bem, como você sabe, minha filha de 10 anos, Natashya, atua como Anabelle. E ela me disse, enquanto falávamos sobre fazer este projeto: "olha, às vezes adultos não ouvem direito seus filhos. E eu acho que Anabelle tem de ter algo a dizer para a mulher". E isso surgiu por causa de algumas amigas de Tash, que estão lidando com divórcio com somente 10 anos. É um momento muito difícil, por não compreenderem o porquê de sua mamãe e papai não poderem ter resolvido tudo uns dois anos antes. Se tivessem prestado atenção mais cedo, voltando para o momento quando, em minha palavras, as feridas não fossem tão grandes a ponto de não poderem mais ser fechadas... Eu e Tash pensamos: "não seria legal se Anabelle pudesse afetar essa mulher a tempo?" A tempo de curá-la.

Still a stunning beauty at the age of 48, Tori Amos talks about hitting the big 50, the death of Amy Winehouse, her view on the music industry, her passion for lomography, and her new album "Night Of Hunters", which is her first venture into classic musical plus her debut for legendary label Deutsche Grammophon
Tori: Well, I think, you know, Natashya plays Anabelle, my daughter, she’s 10. And she said to me, when I talked to her about doing this project, she said: “You know, sometimes grown-ups don’t listen very well to children. And I think that Anabelle needs to have something to say to the woman.” And this came out of quite a few of Tash’s friends had been dealing with divorce, in their life as 10 year olds. And were having a very difficult time, not understanding why couldn’t mom and dad figure this out two years before. If only they had earlier looked at things. If we could get them to go back and look at things. If we could only go back in time and take mom and dad back before the, you know, in my words, before the wounds were so great that they couldn’t mend. I think, Tash and I thought: “Wouldn’t be good if Anabelle could affect the woman in time.” In time for her to heal.
